Bodenbewohner, gräbt Tunnel und lebt großteils unterirdisch. Sie verfügt über keine Brennhaare, hat aber Temperament und kann auch stridulieren bei Zorn.

Sie wird als 2.größte Vogelspinne angeführt nach T.blondie und ist in Afrika beheimatet. Langsames Wachstum. Farbe: hellbraun.
